Many of Everett's shows were in the 1850's, just before the civil war.
An advertisment for his show in 1859 described it as:
"...Among the Necromatic Wonders will be found the Aerial Suspension, or, Philosophical Sleeping in the Air! The Electric Chair, the famous Crystal Casket, the Mystic Chinese Cabinet, the seeming Miracle of the Cauldron Fantastique, the great Target Feat, and the incredible Phenomena with the Six Watches."
